The IAS Itzehoer Airservice, based in Hohenlockstedt is an air carrier approved by the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt. The home base for the aircraft is the airfield "Hungriger Wolf" near Itzehoe. The aircrafts of the type Cessna Caravan 208 of the IAS are available for passenger flights, cargo flights and parachute jumpers.

The Cessna Caravan is versatile and can be used for passenger, freight and parachute jumpers. In the passenger facilities a maximum of 9 passengers can be comfortably carried. Used as a cargo airplane it can carry up to 1.0 tons of cargo. In addition, the "208" is authorized to carry skydivers to altitude.

All aircraft are equipped with a powerful turbine-propeller drive from Pratt & Whitney, Canada. With this power our aircraft provide an excellent performance, ideal for operation from very short runways or in mountainous terrain. Equally popular with VIPs with executive interior as well as urgent freight shipments and the ever increasing number of parachutists.

The photographer

Air-to-air photography is the work with two or more aircraft. One or more subject aircrafts are photographed while all aircraft are in flight. Our Cessna Caravan 208 will fly the photographers (the ‘photoship’) so the others can be photographed while flying in formation. This allows the photographer to position the subject in specific locations and angles to get the most desirable shot.
